A clean first edition of Powell’s early critical study of Robinson Jeffers, issued in a limited printing of 750 copies in June 1934 by the Wolfer Printing Company from a design by Ward Ritchie. The work examines Jeffers’ life, poetic development, and literary significance during the height of his contemporary reputation.

Bound in brown cloth with tan spine paste-down, in the original dust jacket and preserved in mylar.

It is in Very Good condition. Dust jacket shows sunning to the spine, a split at the front hinge, and some chipping, most notably at the foot of the spine. Ownership inscription to the front endpaper. Pages remain crisp and clean. Very Good. Item #107
