Limited signed first edition of Robinson Jeffers’ Descent to the Dead, a compact but striking poetry cycle written during his time in Ireland and Great Britain. This is number 442 of 500 copies, signed by Jeffers on the colophon. A solid example of one of his more restrained and atmospheric pieces from this period.

Hardcover with vellum spine lettered in brown over tan paper-covered boards; endpapers match the boards. Lacking the original slipcase; now housed in a protective mylar cover.

It is in Very Good condition with slight discoloration at the spine hinge, faint remnants of a university stamp on the rear cover, and otherwise clean pages throughout. Very Good. Item #110
