213 pp. [7.25 x 5.25 inches] [English] Very Good

A travel and literary ramble through Shakespeare's England; Pearson and Kingsmill set out from London in January 1939 wandering through Marlborough, the Cotswolds, Stratford, and the English countryside in the footsteps of Shakespeare, mixing travel writing with wit, literary discussion, and dialogue between the two authors. Illustrated throughout with drawings by Maurice Weightman.

Bound in light blue cloth with red titles to the spine. First Edition. A very scarce title; copies seldom appear on the market.

Very Good in a Fair dust jacket. Slight fading to spine, light wrinkling to top front and rear boards, light toning to interior margins. Jacket is maroon front with tan spine and rear, heavily chipped especially to top spine and rear, with an inch and a half chunk missing from the top of the spine, front edge fully split and separated but held in place by a mylar protective covering. Very Good. Item #127
