The complete ten-volume first Weiser edition of The Equinox, limited to only 515 numbered sets, this being number 227. Published in 1972 as a facsimile of the ten original numbers issued between 1909 and 1913, with a new introduction by Israel Regardie.

The Equinox is the massive work at the center of Crowley’s occult writings. Crowley edited the series and wrote much of its content, bringing together ceremonial magic, mysticism, occult instruction, essays, poetry, fiction, reviews, and material connected with the A∴A∴. Other contributors include Victor Neuburg, John Yarker, Ethel Archer, J. F. C. Fuller, and Leila Waddell.

The original series had been out of print for decades when Weiser brought the complete ten volumes back into print. The sheer amount and range of material contained within makes The Equinox Crowley’s magnum opus and one of the major publications of twentieth-century Western occultism.

Complete in ten large volumes, bound in the original cream-white cloth with the Equinox coat of arms and banner printed in color to the front boards. Gilt titles and volume numbers to the spines over black, with numerous illustrations throughout.

It is in very good condition with only light shelf wear, bumped corners, and light smudging to some of the spines, with Volume X showing the most. The main flaw is foxing along the top edges of the text blocks of all volumes. Very Good. Item #178
